Today (Thursday 7 May) marks a year since the cycling landscape in the UK changed with the opening stage of the 2014 Women’s Tour got underway from Oundle in Northamptonshire. Relive the action from last year’s opening stage in this video.

Stage One from Oundle to Northampton marked the first day of racing in the Friends Life Women’s Tour, a momentous occasion not just for women’s cycling, but also women’s sport in Great Britain as the UK hosted it’s first ever UCI women’s stage race.

If you don’t know the results, we won’t spoil them so you can watch the above video and enjoy all of the opening day action again.

The 2015 Aviva Women’s Tour will be back on ITV4 next month with daily highlights at 8pm every night of the race. We’ll also have lots of online content and videos for you to enjoy, before, during and after the race.
