The Women’s Tour and organsiers SweetSpot have been shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious Event Production Awards.
Last year’s race – which was won by Italian rider Elisa Longo Borghini and was the first edition to be broadcast live around the world – has been nominated in the Best Sports Promoter category.
The Event Production Awards celebrate excellence in the delivery and production of live events with this year’s awards celebrating the achievements of companies, with the Best Sports Promoter being a new category for 2023. The awards are organised by Access All Areas owner Mash Media and overseen by the team behind the Event Production Show.
Britain’s leading women’s cycle race has enjoyed previous success at the awards, with the 2017 race winning the Sporting Event of the Year category, while sister event the Tour of Britain has also enjoyed nominations in recent years.
The awards take place at Twickenham on Thursday 16 February.
