A unique jersey design competition for stages five and six of the 2021 Women’s Tour has today been launched!

Are you a budding designer? Are you creative? Do you love cycling?

If you can answer yes to any of the above then you could win the ultimate sporting prize by designing a unique cycling jersey. Lucky competition winners will get the chance to present their creation to world-class riders at this October’s event.

The competition was created by partners across Suffolk and Essex, alongside the East of England Co-op. It was launched with the help of pro rider Clover Murray, whose CAMS-Basso Bikes team will make their Women’s Tour debut in 2021. Murray, 23, was born in Frinton-on-Sea, which falls close to the route of stage five.

Prize details

The competition comprises two age categories – an under 15s and an over 15s.

How to enter

1. Download the jersey template here.

2. Design your jersey either by hand or digitally.

3. Upload your design by visiting the Keep Moving Suffolk website.

4. Remember to state whether you are entering the stage five or stage six competition.

The four best designs will be transformed into cycle jerseys by The Cycle Jersey. The design of the jersey will be made as closely to the winning design as possible. The jersey template covers the front and back of the jersey only, as side panels will be used for the logos of the supporters and sponsors of the Women’s Tour.

Clover Murray, CAMS-Basso Bikes rider, said: “I’m really excited to see the Women’s Tour return this year. It’s one of the best races in the world and having a stage so close to home is brilliant. It’s also wonderful to see local schools getting behind the Women’s Tour and I’m looking forward to judging this competition. I really hope that CAMS-Basso and all the racers involved will inspire the next generation to cycle when they see us come through their towns and villages.”
