Less than eight months on from Demi Vollering being crowned the race’s 2021 champion, the Women’s Tour returns on Monday for its 2022 edition.

Britain’s longest-running UCI Women’s WorldTour event begins with a 142.1-kilometre stage between Colchester and Bury St Edmunds.

Stage one will start at the Colchester Sports Park at Northern Gateway, which also hosted a départ during last year’s event.

Bury St Edmunds will welcome the Women’s Tour for the third time, albeit this will be the first finish in the Suffolk town since Marianne Vos triumphed there on the final day of the inaugural 2014 edition.
