To celebrate the arrival of the Friends Life Women’s Tour in Felixstowe next month, you can come and meet three British sporting heroes on Tuesday night in the town.
To celebrate the arrival of the Friends Life Women’s Tour in Felixstowe next month, you can come and meet three British sporting heroes on Tuesday night in the town.
The Alex in Felixstowe is hosting a special 'Evening with…' event on Tuesday 29 April, featuring Helen Wyman, Louise Jukes and Jasmine Taylor and tickets are available now.
- Helen Wyman is a two-time European and eight-time British cyclo-cross champion and will be participating in the Friends Life Women's Tour with the Matrix Fitness – Vulpine squad.
- Louise Jukes represented Great Britain in Handball at the 2012 Summer Olympics and has been instrumental in the set up of the Ipswich Handball Club.
- Jasmine Taylor represents Britain in Telemark Skiing, she is currently ranked number one for Great Britain and seventh in the world, she is the 2014 British Champion and the 2013 French Cup Champion.
All three have inspiring stories to tell and this will be your opportunity to spend an evening in the company of some truly talented British sports stars. And of course, you can ask your own questions too.
Not only that, but there will also be an auction, with some unique opportunities including:
- Two places at the VIP Breakfast at the Start Line of Stage Three on Friday 9 May.
- A signed Dani King Wiggle Honda jersey.
- Two places in the race convoy during Stage Thre on Friday 9 May – be part of the race while riding in the support vehicles with the cyclists.
- Two ticket packages for the National Cycling Centre in Manchester, home of British Cycling, including:
- A tour of the National Cycling Centre
- A 'behind the scenes' look at the what has created the success of Britain's Olympians
- Meeting GB athletes and Olympic medalists
- An introducition to the nuances of track cycling by a multiple world champion
- A track session on the velodrome with Great Britain's coaches and riding with Joanna Rowsell
