The OVO Energy Women’s Tour has a reputation as being among the best cycle races in the world, helped greatly but our amazing fans who line each day’s route en masse.

Stage One of this year’s race begins in Framlingham, Suffolk at 10:30am. Our handy spectator guide will help supporters plan their visit to see the Grand Depart of the 2018 race.

There will be community activity happening on the Market Hill so please visit the stands. Try the smoothie bike, sit and chat with light refreshments at the Worry Tree stand and discover how the charity  recycle repairs old and unwanted cycles to transform lives in the UK and Africa.

OneLife Suffolk will be running FREE and confidential health checks from Framlingham Pharmacy the chemists all morning.

On the Podium before the race begins there will be some music from Jamie E who is part of the Rock Project. Pupils from Robert Hitcham’s CEVA Primary School will be welcoming the teams on to the podium while they sign up to the race.

Ahead of the ride, pupils from Framlingham College, Sir Robert Hitcham and Dennington Primary School will be part of the community ride out to lead the Cyclists out of Framlingham. There will also be representatives from Hour Community, Mills Meadow, Framlingham Cycle Club, FAYAP and Framlingham Town Council.

Spend the day in Framlingham once the cyclists leave, as they will be back again at approximately 12.30pm, with the Sprint near Thomas Mills High School and they will then travel up College Road. During these few hours, have a look around the local shops or have a spot of lunch in one  of the many eateries ,you even have time to have a look round Framlingham Castle.
