The ŠKODA V-Women’s Tour gets underway at 19:00 on Wednesday 17 June with a largely flat opening stage finishing in Bury St Edmunds.

The chosen route replicates the final 38.4 kilometres of the final stage from the inaugural Women’s Tour in May 2014, when Marianne Vos completed a hat trick of stage wins as she won the first Tour (pictured below)

While many of the riders involved that day have retired from the sport or aren’t taking part, Lucy van der Haar (nee Garner) was up there contesting the bunch sprint on her way to seventh overall and the Best British Rider jersey, and will be pulling on the virtual jersey of Hitec Products – Birk Sport in this week’s ŠKODA V-Women’s Tour.
