Following on from the successful Women’s Tour Launch last week, we’re pleased to announce further details about Breast Cancer Care’s Pink Ribbon Tour on Sunday 11th June.

1,000 lucky riders will have the chance to take part in the Pink Ribbon Tour, which will take place over 25km on the same iconic, closed-road circuit around the streets of London as the professionals in The Women’s Tour will tackle just hours later.

Breast Cancer Care is the only specialist UK-wide charity providing support to everyone affected by breast cancer, and  our partnership will raise vital funds for the charity, whilst celebrating the 25th anniversary of the iconic pink ribbon.

Together, we have set the target of raising over £200,000 for the charity. This will be achieved through  the fundraising of all of those participating in the Pink Ribbon Tour, a text to donate campaign, and through women organising their own 25km cycles throughout the UK.

The partnership the Women’s Tour has with Breast Cancer Care will aim to increase awareness of the free services the worthwhile charity provides; including support over the phone from a nurse or someone who’s been there, welcoming online forums, reliable information and local group support. We want to demonstrate the urgency and need to raise funds to ensure the services continue to be free to everyone affected by breast cancer in the UK.

At the launch of the 2017 Women’s Tour Claire Pulford, Head of Events at Breast Cancer Care, told us more about the charity and how excited they are about the Pink Ribbon Tour:
