The 2017 OVO Energy Women’s Tour has been announced as one of the finalists in the National Outdoor Events Association annual awards, which take place in Bath during November.
Britain’s leading women’s professional race has been shortlisted in the PR Campaign of the Year Award following the success of the 2017 edition of the race in June, which also included Breast Cancer Care’s Pink Ribbon Ride in London prior to the final stage.
Alongside the OVO Energy Women’s Tour, the OVO Energy Tour of Britain will also be up for an award having been nominated in the Sporting Event of the Year category.
The National Outdoor Events Association annual awards take place alongside the annual convention on Wednesday 22 November at the Roman Baths and Pump Room in Bath
Alistair Turner, head judge and managing director of Eight PR & Marketing, said: “The quality of entry has been greatly improved on previous years and some amazing events have applied. The strength of entries was excellent and seeing some events come back shows commitment to the awards.
“It is a huge achievement for those shortlisted today and we look forward to seeing who is named as winners in November.”
