This week sees the anniversary of the first edition of the Women’s Tour, held 7 – 14 May 2014, that brought the world’s top female professional cyclists to race over five stages in England for the first time.
With no racing due to the current health scenario, and this year’s Women’s Tour in June postponed, we’ve decided to dive into our archives and look back on that first edition of the race, and we’d love you to get involved.
From Wednesday (6 May) onwards we’ll be throwing back to the first Women’s Tour across all of our social media channels with photos and videos from each of the stages in turn through to next Monday (11 May).
You can get involved by sharing your own memories and pictures using the hashtag #WTthrowback on Twitter and Instagram, or tagging the Women’s Tour on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
We hope you enjoy this look back at the first edition of the Women’s Tour and it brings back many happy memories from 2014, and we can’t wait to also see some of your memories.
