The Italian Valcar-Travel & Service team will once again look to illuminate the racing at the Women’s Tour in October.
The Italian Valcar-Travel & Service team will once again look to illuminate the racing at the Women’s Tour in October.
Elisa Balsamo has impressed over the past two seasons; thanks to her sprinting abilities, the 23-year-old Italian placed in the top five at this year’s Brabantse Pijl, Scheldeprijs, Gent Wevelgem, Oxyclean Classic De Panne-Brugge and the GP Oetingen. Selection for October’s Women’s Tour would mark her debut in the event, although she previously finished on the podium at the 2018 RideLondon Classique in London.
Compatriots Chiara Consonni – winner of April’s Ronde de Mouscron – and Alice Maria Arzuffi (17th overall in the 2019 Women’s Tour) are also worth watching.
