The season long UCI World Cup competition for women, many of whom will compete in The Women’s Tour, gets underway this weekend, and you can now watch the trailer for the elite competition.

Starting off with the Boels Rental Ronde van Drenthe on Saturday 15 March, the UCI Women Road World Cup features nine events between March and the end of August, including the prestigious Ronde van Vlaanderen.

The first four rounds of competition take place prior to The Women's Tour (7 – 11 May) making the World Cup a great chance for cycling fans to see the world's top riders in action before they head to British roads, and to check out who is in form.

Reigning World & Olympic Champion Marianne Vos has won the World Cup for the past two seasons, and is just one of the top names from the competition that you can also expect to see racing at The Women's Tour.
